The Beginning.

This is my first blog post. As I sit here trying to think of some manificient treatise to put to this post, I have decided to just write. It has been 5 years since tragedy befell all my countrymen, but moreso those in New York City, Washington, and a field in Pennsylvania. In that time, my country has changed and I with it. But first, let me start at a more appropriate place, the beginning.

Let it be known, I did not vote for the man. Never for governor (twice) and never for president. Not that I was politically astute because I wasn’t, nor because of ideology because I was as centrist-modreate-independent as they came. I didn’t vote for him because of something else, something intangible. It was partly because of his past, a mediocre student, who became a mediocre businessman. A reservist whose military record is at best, shady. An oilman whose history of dry holes, failed businesses, and an unncanny ability to profit from it, is at best, shady. A gubernatorial candidate who with no record of public service, no political trail to speak off, but whose only asset is just a name…shady. A presidential candidate who’s only four years removed from hearing his name whispered in certain social circles in terms of the presidency, stands in the midst of the most contested and disputed race in history and whose most sterling acheivement is …nothing. As I said earlier, I didn’t vote for the man because of something was quite just right, something was just a tad too shady.

May they rest in peace…
